The Shutter Release Cable sends a signal from the edelkrone device to the camera, telling it to trigger its shutter at the specified pre-set intervals.
This cable is only needed for Time-Lapse, Stop Motion, and 360 modes. When a Time-Lapse, Stop Motion, or 360 is set up, the system will trigger your camera to take pictures at each step while your camera is in the Photo mode.
However, it is worth noting that the Shutter Release Cable cannot control the camera’s more advanced features, such as changing the aperture or starting video recordings for you. You will not need a Shutter Release Cable for video production.
